You can subscribe to the RSS feed and get alerted of new announcements using various applications, including Firefox, the personalised Google home page and a host of special feed-reader applications.
If you use Gmail, you can even add our latest announcements feed to your web clips (the news and advert links that show above the mailbox). More information about Gmail web clips.
